South Floridians rushed out to supermarkets and stocked up on water, food, home appliances and some were even seen stocking up on beer. Many times the gag will be that the effects of a storm in Florida will be a plastic chair tipping over, but hurricane Matthew has been no laughing matter. It’s been devastating to see what it’s done to Haiti by leaving 264 dead as reported by CNN. And, many Floridians are even being asked to evacuate.
In a heavy election season as this one has been, all attention has turned to the citizens of Florida and their safety. Florida politicians have been hard at work the entire day informing the citizens of how to prepare for the hurricane and on making sure that Floridians stay safe during this time.
If you live in Florida, you need to take this deadly storm seriously.
